PULASKI BOYS & GIRLS CLUB EXPANSION ENTERS FINAL STAGE OF CONSTRUCTION
PULASKI, Tenn. — Aug. 20, 2026 — What was once a vision for the future of Pulaski Boys & Girls Club is quickly taking shape.
Construction on the Pulaski Clubhouse expansion has entered its final stage, marking a major milestone in a project that will nearly quadruple the Club’s indoor space and create more room for local children and teens to learn, grow and belong.
The foundation is complete, walls are going up, and the potential footprint of an expanded Club in Giles County is now clearly visible. Once finished, the Clubhouse will include additional multi-purpose program rooms, a dedicated Teen Room, a new lobby and expanded spaces for academic support, creative arts, literacy, STEM, technology and other Boys & Girls Club programs.

Members of the Pulaski Advisory Committee toured the site to see the progress firsthand as the expansion moves closer to completion.
“This Club, to me, means hope,” said Dr. Alicia Gordon, chair of the Pulaski Advisory Committee. “It means hope for a better future for these kids. It means they have a place they can be proud of—and that we, as a city and community, can be proud of too.”
The expansion addresses a challenge the Pulaski Club has faced for years: simply not having enough space for the number of young people who need it.

EXPANDED CLUBHOUSE WILL NEARLY QUADRUPLE INDOOR SPACE FOR LOCAL KIDS AND TEENS AS PULASKI FUTURES CAMPAIGN CONTINUES
Before construction began, programming regularly stretched into an aging trailer behind the Clubhouse, and existing spaces had to serve multiple purposes throughout the day. The expanded facility will give staff more flexibility to provide homework help, tutoring, reading support, STEM activities, arts programmingand age-appropriate opportunities for teens.
This expansion will also allow Boys & Girls Clubs to significantly increase the number of children the Pulaski Club can serve, with the long-term goal of growing average daily attendance from approximately 50 young people to more than 120.

“When a child walks into a Boys & Girls Club and sees a first-class facility, one of the first messages they receive is that they are worthy of a first-class space,” said Ginny Wright, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee. “What excites me most about this project is how much safer and more secure our kids are going to be in this facility.”
Safety improvements are a major part of the expansion. Once complete, children will no longer need to travel outside to access programming in a separate trailer, and the renovated Club will include a more controlled entrance and exit, upgraded bathrooms and improved spaces designed with both safety and youth in mind.

“Our kids deserve consistency. They deserve people showing up for them,” said Kiane Taylor, Pulaski Club Director. “This will give them a consistent place to feel safe, build friendships and relationships, and just be able to do all the things they should be able to do as kids.”
BUILDING PROGRESS CONTINUES, BUT THE CAMPAIGN IS NOT FINISHED
The expansion is part of the Pulaski Futures Campaign, a $1 million capital effort to create a safer, larger and more functional Clubhouse for children and teens in Giles County.

The project began with $356,000 in state funding and committments secured toward the renovation, with Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee and the Pulaski Advisory Committee working relentlessly to raise an additional $644,000 in private and community support needed to complete the project and its broader vision.
That vision extends beyond the building currently under construction.

Future plans include a renovated kitchen, updated bathrooms, outdoor improvements, a new playground and a proposed Dream Court™, which would provide Pulaski youth with a high-quality outdoor space for basketball, recreation and community connection. Nancy Lieberman Charities has pledged $75,000 toward the proposed $150,000 Dream Court, leaving additional support to be raised locally.
Naming and sponsorship opportunities also remain available throughout the Clubhouse for businesses, families and individuals interested in making a lasting investment in Pulaski’s children.
The expanded facility will also create new opportunities for programming that previously was not possible because of limited space. Additional rooms will make it possible to develop dedicated STEM andcreative arts spaces, opening the door for new partnerships and developmental growth opportunities for Club members.
The Pulaski Club serves children and teens who benefit from having a safe place after school, caring mentors, academic support and opportunities to stay active and connected. The renovated Clubhouse will allow Boys & Girls Clubs to serve more young people while preserving the relationships and sense of belonging that have long made the Pulaski Club feel like home.

Construction is expected to be completed in early 2027.
The Pulaski Futures Campaign has already received generous support from community partners and individuals, including Brenda Speer, Charlotte Hughes, First National Bank, Karen Spivey, Hill McAlister, and PES energize.
