Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee Raises Crucial Funding for Kids at Clubhouse Rock Fundraising Gala 2025

Spring Hill, TN – October 17, 2025 – Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee (BGCSCTN) announced that its annual Clubhouse Rock Gala raised more than $200,000 to support life-changing programs for youth across the region
Held at Worldwide Stages in Spring Hill, the event offered guests an unforgettable evening of music, inspiration, celebration, and community spirit. More than 345 attendees—many sporting their favorite rock band T-shirts—were greeted with live music from singer-songwriter Sean Gasaway, who serenaded the crowd during check-in as they sampled tailgate favorites from tailgate vendors; Puckett’s of Columbia, Tacho Tacos, and Texas Roadhouse.

Guests were then ushered into the expansive lobby of Worldwide Stages, where vibrant “Rock N’ Roll” décor by Festive & Flair set the tone for an electrifying evening of energy and purpose. The lively tailgate-style social hour continued with cocktails options and a delicious selection of appetizers from Rock N Roll Sushi and Scout’s Pub.

As the evening transitioned to the main stage, Club kids took center stage in a heartfelt program filled with performances and personal stories showcasing the impact of Boys & Girls Clubs. Club parent Holly Monroe shared an emotional story of resilience as a single mother of five, describing how the Club helped her family find stability and hope during one of the most challenging times in their lives.

“When I reached out to Boys & Girls Club, they didn’t know our story, but they saw my children,” said Monroe. “Because of their committed sponsors, the Club worked with me financially. Childcare was secure, I was able to start a new job, and now—just a year and a half later—we’re rebuilding our lives, one brick at a time.”
Her words deeply resonated with attendees, capturing the heart of the evening, and underscoring the impact of community support on families in need.
“If you need a reason to sponsor or volunteer your valuable time,” she added, “I hope this story is it. Because of this community, my children are growing up believing that they can find safety and that people can be kind—a foundation every child deserves to have.”

The program also featured a powerful address from reigning Youth of the Year, Kelsey Judd, who earned a standing ovation for her heartfelt reflection on how the Club helped shape her confidence and leadership. Guests were then treated to high-energy “Rock N’ Roll” performances by the BGC Cheer Squad and Wayne Street Dance Group, who performed “Rise Up” by Andra Day — a choreography they will debut at Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Southeast/Southwest Leadership Conference in New Orleans this November. The evening’s momentum continued with emceeing by 10-year-old Club member J’Layah Brown, whose charm and authenticity captivated the audience.

BGCSCTN CEO Ginny Wright shares the stage with youth emcee J’Layah Brown, delivering a powerful reminder of why community support is vital to the mission of Boys & Girls Clubs.
“We’re deeply thankful for the overwhelming support from our community,” said Ginny Wright, Executive Director of BGCSCTN. “Every dollar raised at this event helps us grow our programs and create even more meaningful opportunities for the young people in our Clubs.”
The live auction, facilitated by Eddie Alfred & Company, kept energy levels high with competitive bidding and a spirited Fund-A-Need segment that raised critical funds for programs supporting teens, arts, and cheer initiatives.

After the main program, guests headed to Stage 2 for the afterparty, where the band Classic Vinyl 931 brought the house down with a rock-infused setlist that had guests moving late into the night. For those seeking a quieter moment, the Speakeasy Lounge offered a cozy space to unwind, connect, and reflect on the evening’s impact.
