A Season of Giving: Over 1,000 Gifts Brighten the Holidays for Boys & Girls Club Families

Columbia, TN — December 17, 2025 — This holiday season, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee is helping make the holidays brighter for Club families through its Annual Angel Tree Program. This was made possible by a community of partners who came together with generosity, time, and care, the program reflects the true spirit of the season. Throughout the month of December, the organization received more than 1,000 beautifully wrapped gifts for youth, with additional gifts arriving each day. From sneakers and bicycles to sports equipment and toys, this remarkable outpouring of support will certainly bring lasting joy to families across Maury and Giles counties.

These gifts represent more than cheerful holiday surprises. They are tangible reminders of a community that rallies behind our families, especially during a season that can be financially and emotionally challenging. Beginning this Friday, gifts will be distributed to Club families across all 14 locations.

The success of the Angel Tree program is rooted in the collective effort of community partners who did more than donate gifts. Many volunteered their time to shop for items families truly need, carefully wrap presents, and in some cases personally deliver gifts directly to Club locations. This year’s supporters included Vanderbilt School of Nursing, Vanderbilt Pharmacy, Target of Spring Hill, Tennessee Farm Bureau Federation, Ultium Cells LLC, and General Motors.

In addition to gifts, Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee is also supporting families through shared holiday meals. On December 22, Puckett’s Columbia has generously offered to provide delicious Christmas meals to select Club families, based on their needs.

“The generosity of our Angel Tree partners allows us to support families in meaningful and personal ways each holiday season,” said Carrika Washington, Director of Impact and Outcomes. “By providing gifts for children—and even parents this year—we help ease financial stress and spread joy. We are deeply grateful to the partners who not only gave resources, but also gave their time and heart to serve our families.”
