Nashville, TN – March 11, 2025 – The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee (BGCSCTN) proudly celebrates David St. Charles, who was nominated as a recipient of the prestigious Beverly Burton New Board Member of the Year award. This distinguished recognition took place during the Summit for Tennessee’s Youth at the Hall of Fame announcement dinner, held at the Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Belmont University in Nashville.

The conference welcomed over 500 attendees, including Boys & Girls Club leaders, board members, community leaders, and youth advocates from across Tennessee. It featured inspiring speeches from Hall of Fame inductees, performances from Club Kids, and an outstanding showcase by the BGC South Central TN Cheer Squad. The evening was a powerful tribute to the dedication and impact of Boys & Girls Club supporters who work tirelessly to provide opportunities for youth across the state.

“Reflecting on this incredible event, I am filled with gratitude for the countless board leaders and club professionals who dedicate their time and resources to create amazing opportunities for young people,” said a Boys & Girls Club representative. “Hearing the stories of our award winners and Hall of Fame inductees reminds us of the profound impact of our collective mission.”

David St. Charles’ recognition as a nominee for the Beverly Burton New Board Member of the Year award is a testament to his exceptional commitment and leadership. Since first engaging with the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee as a Spring Hill Hero Candidate in 2022, David has played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s reach and impact. His peer-to-peer fundraising campaign raised $4,600, significantly increasing awareness of the Club’s mission in Spring Hill. After joining the Board in 2023, David chaired the Hero of the Year event, doubling its revenue and securing a vital $10,000 commitment from Ole South Builders.

David’s influence has extended beyond fundraising. In 2024, he assumed the role of Resource Development Chair, bringing an unmatched level of dedication to the Club’s financial growth. His leadership has secured key corporate sponsorships, strengthened relationships with influential executives at GM and Ultium Cells, and paved the way for increased commitments to the Club’s mission. His resource development training at a recent board retreat inspired his peers to leverage their own networks, demonstrating his ability to lead by example.

In addition to his work with the Boys & Girls Club, David has long been an influential figure in the Spring Hill community. He has served on the Spring Hill Chamber board, including a tenure as Chair in 2019, and played a vital role in strengthening connections between the Club and Chamber members. David’s commitment to youth development is further reflected in his efforts to engage city officials and community leaders in initiatives designed to expand services for local children.

He has owned and operated his State Farm Agency for 17 years, where his leadership and passion for service continue to make an impact.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee congratulates David on this well-deserved nomination and looks forward to his continued leadership in shaping brighter futures for the youth in our community.
