COLUMBIA, TN – February 22 – The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee received a remarkable gesture of generosity from local artist Rosalind Golden Saline, who donated her art collection in its entirely to be auctioned in support of children in Maury and Giles Counties. With strong ties to Memphis, Seattle, and Columbia, Rosalind has spent the past 25 years as a special education teacher, reaching at-risk students and fostering a love for nature and the arts among young minds.

Rosalind’s enduring passion for nature, adventure, art, spirituality, and writing has shaped a life defined by personal loss, wanderlust, inspiration, and community service. These experiences are vibrantly reflected in her artwork and writing, leaving a legacy for future generations.

More than 300 guests, including Columbia Mayor Chaz Molder and other local leaders, gathered for the event, making the evening a resounding success. Attendees were treated to moving speeches by Dr. Christa Martin, 2025 Youth of the Year Kelsey J., Jack Cobb, and Pastor Trent Ogilvie, along with stellar performances by Ben Maize, Rev. Dwight Liles, Makky, Rick Mullens & the Ukulele Band, and the energetic BGC Cheer Squad. Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee staff warmly welcomed guests, answered questions, provided information, and helped coordinate donations and auction logistics. Meanwhile, children from the Wayne Street Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs had the opportunity to showcase their creativity by displaying their own artwork at the event.

“I always had a vision of walking into a room filled with my art, and I find more joy in giving than in receiving money,” commented Saline. “The joy comes from making someone smile. I believe that a gift given should be passed on.”

This gathering served as both a celebration of art in all its forms and a powerful demonstration of community unity, dedicated to shaping a brighter future for the youth of Maury County.

Thanks to Rosalind Golden Saline’s generosity and the steadfast support of the youth of Maury County, the funds raised from this auction will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs’ Arts Programs—empowering young artists to explore their creativity and develop vital skills that will serve them for a lifetime.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee extends its deepest gratitude to Rosalind Golden Saline and all who helped make this event a meaningful and impactful evening for local youth.

Rosalind’s artistic journey began as a young girl when she first drew a face on her home’s wood-paneled wall. Art has remained a passion throughout her life, but her true calling was teaching at-risk children for over 30 years.
