First Farmers and Merchants Bank received the C.A.R.E. award from the Tennessee Area Council of Boys & Girls Clubs. The C.A.R.E., or Children are the Reason for Excellence, award recognizes an individual or business for their outstanding in-kind or direct support to their local Boys & Girls Club.

Destry and her sister Charlotte are two of the sweetest kids you will ever meet. When you walk in the Club, Destry is one of the first kids who will come up with a smile and start talking to you. The two girls are being raised by their mom Jimmie – a single mother who, despite working hard as a restaurant manager, still makes being the best mom she can be her top priority. Their family has faced some tough challenges.

Boys & Girls Club Receives Grant Funding to Expand Mental Health Programs
We have received grant funding from the Maury Regional Health Care Foundation in support of our health and wellness programs for youth across the county. This funding is provided through the Eslick Daniel Youth Health Initiative Fund. This year’s grant also included funding from the Foundation’s Behavioral Health Fund to expand the Club’s mental health programs.
