Ginny Wright

Chief Executive Officer

Ginny Wright joined Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Tennessee as Chief Executive Officer in October 2022, bringing over 20 years in the Boys & Girls Club movement.

Ginny’s passion for community and kids led her to the Club at an early age. She began volunteering at Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County when she was 16. She worked in Clubs as a Youth Development Professional through high school and while attending the University of South Carolina. In 2005, Ginny began working full time for Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County. Ginny held multiple positions, providing a first-class program and increased average daily attendance to almost 400 kids a day.

In 2013, Ginny was named CEO for Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton/Carter County. In her tenure as CEO, Ginny modernized Club and organizational practices, developed staff and volunteers, and created relationships throughout the Carter County community. Under her leadership, the organization more than doubled its attendance and operating revenue. Ginny was named the 2017 Southeast Region New Executive of the Year. Ginny joined Boys & Girls Club of Greater Kingsport in 2021 to help re-open sites, increase staff training and development, and improve the Club member experience. During her time in Kingsport, Ginny created the first full time Social & Emotional Well-Being Coordinator position in collaboration with Ballad Health and other area Boys & Girls Clubs, re-opened three Club sites, and created an organization-wide training program.

In her spare time, Ginny enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with her wife, two children, and dogs. She also enjoys watching the championship winning USC Women’s basketball – Go Gamecocks!
