NOT JUST AFTER SCHOOL CARE— CLUBS ARE A LAUNCHPAD FOR LIFE

At Boys & Girls Clubs, we serve as the first professional network for the youth we serve — a place where young people connect with mentors, develop real-world skills, discover new interests, and unlock doors to future opportunities.

We prepare kids and teens with the essential skills today’s schools and employers value most: communication, collaboration, creativity, and the confidence to navigate life’s challenges. Through dynamic programs and intentional partnerships, Clubs provide youth with the exposure and experiences they need to imagine — and achieve — meaningful careers.

Whether it’s job shadowing at a local business, exploring career paths through industry speakers, or building a résumé and practicing interview skills, our goal is clear: help every young person find a future they’re excited about — and equipped to pursue.

The Club showed me I can actually have a future. I want to be someone my family can count on, and do something I love — like being a cosmetologist or an OB/GYN. I’ve learned not to let negative people bring me down. One day, I want to come back and represent the Club, and help other kids believe they can be somebody too.
