Lauren La Porte
Chief Development Officer
Chief Development Officer Lauren La Porte graduated with a Bachelor’s in English from Rollins College in 2013, before moving from Florida to Tennessee to serve for two years as Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County’s AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers In Service To America). As a VISTA, she served as the organization’s Data Specialist and Volunteer Manager. During the duration of the VISTA project, she established the organization’s comprehensive data and program evaluation system, for which the Club won the 2015 Southeast Region Data Impact Award from Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Once her two VISTA terms were complete, she began working for the organization as the full-time Data and Grants Manager. In July 2016, Lauren became the Club’s Resource Development Director. Lauren served on the Working Group for BGCA’s development of MyClubHub, the common Club management system, as a result of her expertise in developing the Club’s comprehensive data tracking and program evaluation systems.
In 2018, Lauren was recognized by Boys & Girls Clubs of America with the “Newcomer Excellence Award” as part of the inaugural Resource Development Awards. The Newcomer Excellence Award celebrates one new RD Professional who has brought significant and positive change to their Club and community. In January 2020, Lauren was promoted to Chief Development Officer. As Chief Development Officer, Lauren leads the Resource Development Team and guides the overall strategic direction of the organization’s fundraising efforts, in line with the goals of the Board of Directors, CEO, and annual operating budget. Lauren also manages the organization’s individual giving campaigns, grants, marketing, data collection & management, Board education/involvement in RD, and capital/endowment campaign administration.
