Annual Dream Makers Dinner Auction Scheduled for August 9th

Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County will hold its Annual Dream Makers Dinner & Auction on Friday, August 9th from 5:00-8:30pm at Puckett’s Downtown Columbia. The event is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser, and this year’s event theme “Cheers to 20 Years” will celebrate the Club’s 20th anniversary since incorporation by Boys & Girls Clubs of America. The event will feature a cocktail hour, elegant dinner, silent auction, live music, and an entertaining live auction conducted by auctioneer Eddie Ables.

Tables for 10 adults are available at $2,000 per table. Individual tickets are also available for $200 per person. Contact Ashley Whiteside to reserve your table or tickets before it sells out at (931)490-9401 ext.2604 or awhiteside@bgcmaury.org .

First Farmers Bank is the presenting sponsor of this year’s event. First Farmers has been a long-time supporter of the Club and plays a key role in helping the organization to achieve its mission “to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

The annual Dream Makers Dinner & Auction is attended by 300 business and community leaders, and has sold out the past four years.

This year’s exciting auction item line-up includes official Nashville Predators autographed memorabilia, Titans tickets, UT tickets, Predators tickets, a Pigeon Forge vacation package, a Big Green Egg grill, a 7-night stay in Seaside, FL, a two-year lease on a 2019 Buick Encore courtesy of Parks Motors, and more!

Andy Marshall will be honored as this year’s recipient of the Ora J. Thompson Service Award, in honor of his generous support of the Club.

“A former Club kid himself, Andy Marshall’s dedication to the Club is hard to match,” Club CEO Robyn Peery says.  “We are so grateful for his steadfast support of our kids. He has brought in new resources, advocated for the Club, recruited new supporters, and volunteered countless hours of his time. Without Andy’s support, we would not be where we are today – serving 1,200 kids per year across Maury and Giles Counties. We are so excited to recognize him as this year’s Ora Thompson Service Award recipient.”

Boys & Girls Clubs of Maury County would also like to thank Gold Sponsors First Tennessee Bank and Maury Regional Hospital; Silver Sponsor Heritage Bank; Car Sponsor Parks Motors; Host Sponsor Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant; and Program Sponsor PaperWeight Printing.
